Gilberto “Gil” Sanchez. III, was born and raised in Parkersburg, West Virginia, graduated from Riverview High School in Sarasota, Florida and received his undergraduate and juris doctorate degree from the University of Florida “U.F.”.

Gil majored in political science, and received a minor and certification in Latin American Studies. He was a member of Delta Chi Fraternity, Florida Blue Key, President of the Colombian Student Association (COLSA), President of the Hispanic Student Association (H.S.A), and Student Senator.

Gil was awarded a prestigious internship with U.S. Senator Bob Graham’s Washington, D.C. office through the Washington Center. Gil was also awarded the most prestigious leadership awards at U.F.: Outstanding Male Undergraduate Leader, Outstanding Hispanic Student of the Year, U.F. Hall of Fame and Who's Who.

After graduation, Gil entered law school at the Levin College of Law at U.F. Gil was President of the Law College Council and co-founded another small business.  Upon graduation, Gil moved to Charlotte, North Carolina to spear head a start-up manufacturing company.

Gil returned to Tampa, Florida to practice Insurance defense, Corporate & Business law and assist in state lobbying with Stiles, Taylor & Grace, P.A. Gil then went to Maney & Gordon, P.A. to form its Corporate Department, in addition to practicing Immigration and Commercial Litigation. 

In January 2007, Gil founded Sanchez Law Offices, P.A. with offices located in South Tampa’s, Hyde Park and downtown Orlando. His primary areas of practice are Corporate & Business Law, Business Brokerage Law, in addition to Immigration, Wills & Trusts and Real Estate.

Gil is also a Business Broker with Business Broker Services representing buyers and sellers of businesses, including Mergers and Acquisitions.

Gil and the firm are committed to serving the Tampa Bay community. Gil co-founded and serves as Co-Chair of a Florida non profit, HYPE-Hispanic Young Professionals and Entrepreneurs, Inc. (www.hypetampabay.org), dedicated to reducing the dropout rate among Hispanic students K through 12. Gil also serves as Board Member of Hispanic Business Initiative Fund, Inc. (www.hbiftampa.org); Board Member and Treasurer of the Tampa Bay Hispanic Bar Association, and Member of the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce and the Westshore Alliance.
